So based on these two sources, is there a definitive conclusion?

1. Stafford > Goff on 3rd and 8+
2. Goff is no good on 3rd and 8+ (or at least wasn't in 2020)
3. McVay doesn't trust Goff on 3rd and 8+
4. McVay can't play call on 3rd and 8+

Zn's numbers appear to make the answer #1 but definitely not #2.

Goff was actually pretty good on 3rd and 8+ tied for 8th in NFL

Goff was ranked 3rd overall in NFL on 3rd down conversions [stats.washingtonpost.com]

McVay had some very suspect play calls on 3rd down this year considering his QB was pretty good at converting them

btw, Goff was 8th in passer rating in red zone with 107.3 = Stafford was 20th with a 90.4 rating
