One of the knocks on Goff is that he seems to play to the competition. Meaning against other top QBs he does very well (Brady/Mahomes/Rodgers/Brees etc).
He does poorly against the backups. He is too casual.
From reading the Lion's boards, Stafford would often come out firing and score quickly, then do nothing until they were down in the 4th quarter and he'd come roaring back. Sometimes successful and sometimes not.
Is Stafford at his best when the the situation is most crucial but very casual when it's 1st and 10?
Dang this season can't come fast enough :-).
