I didn't address that issue. The one I underlined. I was only talking about this: you had said that IF they were both up for trade in an open market Goff would bring in about the same as Wentz. That's what I disagreed with, that particular hypothetical scenario. You said this:

Obviously the whole point of the trade from the Rams side was to get Stafford, so the hypothetical never came up in reality.

I suppose we are talking semantics over what comparable value is? I agree that Goff is worth more. I also state that they should get about the same compensation. Is the difference 100 points on the draft table? That's the difference between a 1st round (26 pick) vs 1st round (31 pick)? I don't think Goff is 500 points more valuable than Wentz.
To be fair Wentz' price hasn't been set yet. What I've seen is them wanting a 1st rounder and not getting it. Colts being only known entity making an offer. Supposedly in the 2x 2nd rounders range.
There is still a small chance that Detroit tries to flip Goff to another team for more draft capital. They can't try until March. That is the only way we could get a true market data point on the two.
It's seeming like there are more teams wanting a QB upgrade then then available QBs with a track record at least as good as Goff or Wentz.
