Fair enough. The Rams are very aggressive and PHDram has an excellent point, they normally make moves with trades and budget FA's. So I'm curious, what does ALL IN look like to you?
My response to your post Leo was excessive and on the side of arrogance.
My apologies.
You are a great poster Leoram.
ALL IN to me started after their 2017 season ended with the playoff loss suffered at the expense of the Falcons.2017/2018 offseason moves:
Feb. 23: Agree to Marcus Peters trade
March 2: Traded Robert Quinn to Dolphins
March 6: Place franchise tag on Lamarcus Joyner
March 7: Traded Alec Ogletree to Giants
March 8: Agree to Aqib Talib trade
March 8: Sign Sam Shields to one-year deal
March 13: Sign Nickell Robey-Coleman to three-year, $15.75M extension
March 16: Sign John Sullivan to two-year, $10.75M extension
March 26: Sign Ndamukong Suh to one-year, $14M deal
April 3: Acquire Brandin Cooks from Patriots
July 17: Sign Brandin Cooks to five-year, $81M extension
July 25: Sign Todd Gurley to four-year, $60M extension
Aug. 20: Sign Rob Havenstein to four-year, $32.5M extension
Aug. 31: Sign Aaron Donald to six-year, $135M extension
As you know they went all in and made it to the SB but laid an egg vs the more experienced and better coached Patriots team.
ALL IN to me started again after their 2018 season ended with the SB loss suffered at the expense of the Patriots.2018/2019 offseason moves:
Letting LG Rodger Saffold walk in free agencyLetting DT Ndamukong Suh walk in free agency
Re-signing Edge Dante Fowler Jr. to a one-year contractSigning Edge Clay Matthews to a two-year contract in free agency
Declining C John Sullivan’s optionMatching RB Malcolm Brown’s offer sheet from Detroit Lions
Letting RB C.J. Anderson walkLetting QB Sean Mannion Walk
Letting S Lamarcus Joyner WalkCutting ILB Mark Barron
Signing QB Blake BortlesAccepting 5th-year option on CB Marcus Peters
Signing S Eric Weddle to a two-year contractTraded cornerback Aqib Talib to the Miami Dolphins.
Traded cornerback Marcus Peters to the RavensTraded 2 first round pics to the Jaguars for Jalen Ramsey
Rams sign former AAF QB John Wolford
I know many of these moves may not be considered ALL IN but they can still be considered "all in" aggressive based on their moves the year before.
After all these moves were made they failed to make the playoffs with their subpar 9-7 record.2019/2020 offseason moves:
Rams re-sign LT Andrew Whitworth to 3-year dealRams sign Lions A’Shawn Robinson to 2- year deal
Rams re-sign Austin BlytheRams cut Todd Gurley
Rams draft Akers in the second roundRams trade wide receiver Brandin Cooks to Texans
Rams fire DC Wade PhillipsRams hire new DC Brandon Staley
Rams extend Jalen Ramsey to 5 year extensionRams sign OLB Leonard Floyd to a one-year deal
Rams extend Cooper Kupp to 3 year extensionRams extend Robert Woods to 4 year extension
I know many of these moves may not be considered ALL IN but they can still be considered "all in" aggressive based on their moves the year before.
I'm sure I probably left out some other key moves but my point is, the Rams brass has been an ALL IN organization since their playoff loss to the Falcons in 2017.
2020/2021 offseason moves:
Rams trade Jared Goff to Lions for Matthew Stafford giving up 2 first rounders 2022 & 2023 and a 3rd rounder in 2021.This franchise has been all in since they hired Sean McVay.
