The real story of this offseason for the Los Angeles Rams has yet to be told.
Nothing new or unique but a clever choice for a narrative. A good selection of words to open your post....
While the trade of Jared Goff for Matt Stafford has garnered the most attention and a restructuring of the scouting and coaching staffs will certainly impact the team's future, it's how the Rams manage the salary cap in 2021 that will determine whether or not this team will "sell out" for a ring and let the chips fall as they may thereafter, or if they will take a more reasoned approach to build a dynasty.
This last paragraph is not my cup of tea. Goff is gone and the sell out for a ring is what this organization has done since the offseason of 2017 after the Falcons humbled them and the media darlings that fell in love with them.
While some correctly point to the massive contracts of Ramsey and Donald...
This paragraph I had to delete the rest of it. The Rams Brass have done what they've been doing since they lost to the Falcons. If they are truly all about going for a ring... They will get Stafford to extend... Donald and maybe both Ramsey and any others needed to restructure to gain salary cap room to sign the free agents needed to make their vision come true. No surprise here if it happens.
However, if the Rams decide the future is now....
They have decided the future is now.. There is no if... They believe the future is now and will continue to run their operation this way as long as McVay and Snead run the show. I know you know this Leo, or at least I think you do. I'm on board with their 21st century tactics and I see this continuing as long as McVay and Snead run this team.
Hey, it's the offseason. All we have is speculation. But with this particular administration, all possible moves are on the table.
You last sentence made the most sense. With this particular administration, all possible moves are on the table.
Not trying to smack on your post. You always have good stuff to say. I just cut the fat off in my own little Rams world.
This franchise has been all in since they lost to the Falcons after the 2017 season ended.
They will be all in every season until the cows come home or everyone is fired.
I back their approach and see this thing getting just as crazy or more in the next 2 or 3 off-seasons.
