I didn't look up the contract so I'll take your word for it. The cap savings is surprising. That being said while I see the logic I just dont see it. Kupp and woods seem to be the epitome of what mcvay wants. I cant see him trading them.
I agree that Kupp/Woods are both the epitome of what McVay wants so a decision to trade either would not be done lightly.
And either one would have to be replaced by a guy who also embodies McVay's values while signing on a somewhat favorable contract.
Someone like Marvin Jones who would be a deep threat comes to mind. A consummate professional, who has the deep threat skillset, with an established connection with Stafford, and who wants to sign here and presumably would do so on a team-friendly contract.
