While the possibility of injury has to be taken into account to some degree, all decisions have risks.
This is why teams that have Superbowl on their minds need to have as good a back-up QB on the roster as they can.
That said, about the only back up I can remember that led their team to a Superbowl was Nick Foles. Usually if a team loses their QB they are in major trouble.
The Rams almost certainly will NOT be having an experienced back up because they just won't have the cap space.
I fully expect Wolford to be Stafford's back up and to play a great deal in preseason games.... assuming they even happen.
And as an aside, I kind of suspect we're going to see more of Perkins in a kind of Taysom Hill role in 2021.
