No, they all want to win. They are all workaholics, they are all supremely driven and most of them are egomaniacs. And thats what it takes to survive and excel in a profession where there are only you and 31 other jobs in the entire universe. Not For Long is exactly right in the NFL, esp if you, as a HC, are simply happy with 10-6 or 9-7 or 11-5.
Now, that doesn't mean every HC realistically thinks SB every year. But since McVay and Snead have gotten to LA, they have done nothing but try to improve this roster and win. And they have done a good job at that.
And I know you well enough to say that you aren't quitting this team if McVay doesn't reach the SB in the next 2 years. And unless things go real sideways, I doubt you call for his head. You do remember the Linehan, Spags, Fisher era I assume. There is literally no guarantee that the next HC doesn't end up in that category and the Rams become irrelevant.
PS, I owe you an apology on Marquez Stevenson from Houston. That was an old article. He is/was a Senior and is in the draft. You can get him on day 3 because his hands are shaky at best.
not the point, most coaches don't trade away well liked QB who averaged 11 wins a year as a starter and stuff three high draft picks in his back pocket to do so....that in itself puts tremendous pressure on you to make sure you get past where Goff had already got you and that includes getting you to a Super Bowl
Of course I'm never gonna give up on this team and in McVay I trust, but you better believe I am expecting much more now after this trade, as we all should.
I love the fact that he knows that this just raised his expectations and will hopefully motivate him to be the best coach he can possible be
this trade is a win win for all of us Rams fans in that respect.
we are now the 3rd best odds to win the Super Bowl in 2021.....it's not just Rams fans that expect greatness that's for sure
