He used TGIII as an excuse? At the most he tried to save TGIII the best he could. He tried to keep in house his knee issues. With Brandon he used him as an excuse? At most he showed utmost concern with his concussion issues. And now you also say he was scapegoating with Jared? He worked well with Jared. Jared could have plays that said he was on his way to elite status, then the next play he would make a rookie mistake, and that's 5 years into his career.
If you were tied to a guy that was Jeckle and Hyde within 4 qtrs. of a game it would drive me nuts.....at no time can I remember did he scapegoat on Jared, unless you consider scapegoating someone when you say he needs to handle the ball and decisions better. I don't I call that stating a truth. There's a lot more riding on games with teams that are challenging for a ring more then just a HC saving face, there's an entire team relying on the play of ALL those around them in all aspects....Jared several times IMO let guys down, others did too, but he's the QB, he's the leader, he's looked harder at, he should be at the top when it comes down to demanding better play on a reliable, consistent point.
You better know that with Matt it's the same thing, but IMO it's no more heavy an issue as it was with Jared. IMO Matt wasn't brought in to show how Jared was weak, it's straight up performance on a more constant basis. IMO Sean is not in any more a hot seat then he is/was at any time. When you are the head of a team in the NFL your #1 goal is to put a solid/reliable team on the field you always look for more and when a guy isn't rising you always look for someone else. To me anyway that's someone who is striving to get better.
Also IMO if he kept Jared another year and Jared was still treading water like the past 2.....he would for sure be under a microscope. As it is right now I see a guy who simply needed better play on a more constant basis, Jared wasn't doing that, he just wasn't.
