But I agree. I’m not sure why things have to be black or white for some people when there’s almost always a gray area.
Anyway, at the moment this was a good trade. That’s all you can ask for. No one knows what’s going to happen but when it does there will be a lot of blaming and should’ve known’s and usual fan bs. What if Morris is the bad hire? Or injuries take a huge toll. Or he raiding of he coaching staff hurts them. The future doesn’t play out in black and white usually.
That said, I think this was a great trade for the Rams. An ok trade for the Lions. I expect that the Rams will be much better on offense. Rewatching Rams games from 2020 and Lions games from 2020 and focusing on the QB position... There is no question who the better QB is. But if things don’t unfold the way I think they should it will probably be because of some unforeseen situation.
I think McVay is an excellent coach. But it’s hard to say he is an excellent OC because of Goff’s shortcomings. If all goes well and things play out the way like they should it will be easier to determine McVay’s OC prowess.
