I think there have been significant differences in coaching and teams also. Unless you think Houston is comparable to Seattle's during Wilson's first four years in the league.
As a comparison during those four years:
Russell: 106 TD's, 34 Int's, 13,974 yds in 64 games
Watson: 104 TD's, 36 Int's, 14,539 yds in 54 games
Individually their numbers are very comparable. But as team comparisons, it is not even close. I wonder if Watson had the Legion of Boom D turning the ball over, creating short fields and Marshawn Lynch at RB, if things may have been even more closely aligned?
