Having said all that, I don’t know if even Demoff/Snead can make the numbers work out. And even though Watson has that trade clause, I’m sure that there’s some point below which the Texans will NOT go.
The longer it takes to make a deal, the lower the price I would think since Watson has the final say. How long will the Texans allow a disgruntled leader at QB into their camp and the effect it has on their locker room? If he doesn't want to be there, he becomes a major problem within the entire organization. This isn't a bidding war, it's a time-sensitive business decision.
