No one really talks about this. Teams install their systems during OTA's and other parts of the off-season program. You're past the Draft and the Free Agency window - so who is going to sit around until June 2nd to figure out who their starting QB is? I don't think this is realistic.
Any kind of handshake agreement would likely create all kinds of tampering issues. Does Goff do zoom calls with his new coaches while he's a Ram this spring? Can someone explain how this can work?
