I understand. Their games are very much different. But, despite the title of my initial comment, I wasn't trying to necessarily suggest that Goff should "learn" anything from Wolford.

Rather, I was hoping that, while watching him from the sidelines, Goff could get reacquainted some fundamentals/philosophies that have clearly been missing for most of the season. This is why I mentioned something as simple as holding the ball "high and tight" on those occasions where he feels he needs to run. That's a fundamental skill that EVERYONE should have, but Goff rarely puts that into action. Not because he doesn't know it...he's just not in tune with it. I saw Wolford utilize those ball security fundamentals and I hope that served as a reminder to Goff.

Same goes with being decisive and trying to follow McVay's philosophy of starting deep with his progressions.

I'm in law enforcement and I think an appropriate analogy would be a veteran patrol officer watching a rookie fresh out of the academy. Due to their different experience levels, both see and handle things differently. The vet is more in tune with the citizenry he's interacted with over the past several years. The rookie may be more crisper with his suspect handcuffing/searching techniques because he just graduated from the academy two weeks earlier. It's kinda of the latter that I wanted to emphasize.
