for the mere fact that 1 guy has 5 years of NFL football and the other has 1 game. Can you make assessments on how a guy reacts, or plays on his own merits though is another thing. I thought that for the time in a starting role I saw some very interesting things from John.....He seemed to have a feel for how to read/react to a defense. I was impressed when he himself called a timeout. It may not seem like much, but to me it showed that he actually had some control of the offense that was chosen at that time. Now they ended up with nothing afterword, but still the mindset to see a problem was a good thing.
His long game IMO was missing time with the starter group, I also like how he has the showed the natural ability to look off a receiver.
I'm not comparing him to Goff in these things, just what I saw him doing, and in a 1st game, playoff atmosphere I thought he did well.
