As it stands it will go like this. If Goff can play he gets the start against Seattle. If he can't physically play Wolford will. Wolford has shown enough so that I think they can be competitive in that game. Either way I will root for whoever starts and cheer them on, no matter who it is. If it's Wolford, Rams will be forced to run for some 3rd down conversions, but that can probably hold up for a game or 2 without it becoming an issue. If it is Goff, the Rams will continue to get 3rd down conversions at a high rate, just as they were before, except by passing.

Interesting how you phrased that, zn. Namely as ‘Goff can play’ as opposed to ‘Goff healthy’. Or 70% healthy? Or whatever percentage.

I suspect that McVay has some bar that Goff must exceed in practice or drills this week. And it’s surely higher than ‘can play’. I don’t know what it is, but I’m guessing that it’s at least 80% and probably more.

Wolford gives McVay a legit Plan B now and I think that McVay is gonna weigh his options very carefully before making his final decision.

I promise you there was nothing to look for in my phrasing. "Can play" just means is healthy enough to be okayed to play by the training staff and their sense of the risk. I only meant by it what you say there. I just put it as "is able to play" because I assume there's nothing to discuss there--they are not going to field a qb who is at risk and can't execute.

That's all I meant. There's nothing else there in what I said.
