Some guys refuse to entertain the idea that Goff has regressed on his own. He’s playing scared, afraid of turnovers, doesn’t read the field as well as he should in his 5 year,
I agree with all of that but I also think he's been struggling with these things for 2 years. It has only gotten worse. My only hope is that this somehow motivates him or pushes him or whatever you want to call it. Goff should be embarrassed right now and determined to get better.
Sadly, play NFL QB is primarily about what you have between the ears. I think Goff is intelligent enough but I am concerned that he just doesn't process quickly enough.
‘Being smart’ and ‘quickly processing’ are two entirely different things. Just sayin’.
