There is a reason why the Rams had him as their #1 free agent target. That doesn't make a lot of sense if he's just a guy.
PFF rated him as elite with a top 10 interior DL ranking and #4 in run defense in 2018. His rating fell off in 2019 but that could be because the entire Detroit defense fell off. There is potential for him to be the strongest run defender on the Rams DL.
Maybe he reaches that goal, maybe not but he's a lot more than just a big dude.
