Speed_Kills
but the point here that you are missing it’s rare for any QB and especially Goff to play so poorly when so much around him goes right
great pass blocking
good run game
receivers open
playing defense without many starters including all world pass rushers and missing starters from the secondary
So we are not talking about a QB that had a bad game. Jared Goff has been sacked 7 times this year none last Sunday. The Eagles make shift line has allowed 28 sacks through 6 weeks. The Texans 23
I’m chalking up his uncharacteristic performance when all of those things have gone right to an off night. You just don’t see that kind of game out of Goff when the pieces around him are playing so well. Maybe the 2017 playoff game against Atlanta, and 2018 playoff game against Dallas come to mind off the top of my head but just not many outside of those
Thats what I was getting at with my OP.
And Goff isn't a young kid QB anymore. This is his 5th year.
No excuses for that bad game at all.

I agree with Speed. Bad games happen to all players, not just Goff, Not just QB's...ALL players can have an off day. Goff played pretty damn well up until that game. He's not allowed to have a bad game without there being a bigger issue?
Aaron Rodgers just had one of the worst games of his career. Is he being questioned in GB? Is he on the "Hot Seat"? Is he "under the microscope"? After all, this is Rodgers 15th year! There is no excuse for Rodgers bad play, correct?
I am sure there was a reason why Goff seemed off last week and might not ever know what it was. I am not concerned by one "off" game out of 6 this year. If he continues to seem "off" for the next 2-3 weeks, I might start to be more concerned, but 1 off game out of 6? Especially when the other 5 were very good? Nah, not an issue for me right now.
We have much bigger problems than Jared Goff. To focus so much on one "off" game seems silly to me. He WILL bounce back! This week might be tough. The Bores D can be pretty stingy. Goff will have to earn this one, IMO.
IMO, Jared "Dangerfield" Goff doesn't get any R.E.S.P.E.C.T.! I get it that the media can be hard on him, but I would think ALL Rams fans would be more grateful to have him after the long list of trash we trotted out there to play QB over the decades. Yes, Goff should be criticized for his mistakes. IMO, he get too much criticism and not enough praise.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
