Yes. I posted the PFF pressure number in this thread.
The most alarming issue is that McVay hasn't beaten Shanahan when they've both had their starting QBs. What should be considered is that Shanny consistently outcoaches McVay.
The game doesn't consist of 4 people, with a coach and a qb on each side.
Last year the Rams had no running game and a problem OL, and SF had the best front 4 in the game (2nd in the league in qb pressures). Even then it was the Rams defense that lost the 2nd game in the final minute.
I just think there's this rush to find convenient simple narratives.
Well, how would we normally expect a team with no running game and a problem OL to do against the league's 2nd ranked defense...regardless who coached or quarterbacked each team?
And that right there accounts for 2 of the recent losses.

That McVay did a far better job of dealing with a crap OL than Shanny did. The fact McVay has never lost more than 9 games as a head coach is special. Does his head-to-head with Shanny irritate me? Yes. But perspective is needed.
Also irt that OL quality I think McVay's biggest problem in 2020 is that he needs to adjust his gameplanning and gameday calls to accommodate it. He has been going max protect and dinking/dunking when he should be going more over the top and stretching the field vertically. Goff is really good at deep passes but he's a rhythm passer, if he's only taking shots rarely he doesn't seem as accurate to me.
OPEN UP THE OFFENSE. That's what he needs to do IMO. Goff is gonna screw it up time to time but gotta take the wraps off him and let him go for the throat more often.
