I think there's a big difference.
So it's not all on one guy let me just make it about anytime anybody uses terms like "homer" or "hater."
There is normal debate where you're making it about the player and you're just disagreeing. With the other you're making it about the poster and their presumed motives and dismissing them as a type.
Was it really so bad to debate Warner and Bulger? Or was the bad thing resorting to calling people Warnerites or Bulgerites?
