Agree. lessened I think. In Noteboom's case I still think he is the primary backup at LT so in essence he still is working two spots.
One thing I wonder is if Corbett will get work as backup center.
Really would be interested to hear something more in depth from people like Jourdan R. about Edwards and Evans.
I think the excessive cross-training last summer was one of the many reasons the OL hit the season out of sync.
It's not unusual for a tackle to play guard while prepping to take over at tackle. Last summer though they had everyone playing everything. And the starting unit did not play together in the pre-season. The OL never really actually settled in.
They are doing much much less of that this year and I think it's at least in part because they know they have to put a coherent OL out there in week 1 and they have less time to do it this year. That means the starting unit gets set early and they play together more. Communication, coherence, being in sync.
That's how it looks to me, at this point anyway.
