It sounds to me like this summer, in these circumstances, Kromer dropped his “cross train everyone all the time” approach.
It actually looks like the goal is to set the starting OL early and have them play together as a unit as much as possible. Given the circumstances they have to work with this year, that's probably smart.
So it seems that the cross-train em all, all the time method has been mothballed. At least this summer.
(That's not entirely true though cause Anchrum took some reps at tackle and in the NFL--he's a guard. I think the main thing is they are identifying their starting 5 as soon as they can and getting them to play together for as much as they can before the season hits.)

Maybe not mothballed, but rather lessened? Especially for the vets?/
