he seems like a fine young ambitious man with an eclectic social media presence, but no more qualified than anyone of us to offer an opinion regarding uniforms. i have no problem with him making a list (lots of people do lists) but im not sure why its definitive. why i should be persuaded to believe that the informs "sucks" because he tells me they do. Furhter there is an odd line in the review...
They’ll be the first team in the league to not use white in their away jersey, calling the color “Bone,” but it simply doesn’t fit in with their branding anywhere. It’d fit much better with most other teams.so bone would work with most other teams but not the rams? how does that make any sense?
lol...Right? It makes no sense. He is just another guy with an opinion. IMO, no better than any of us. No more right or wrong.
I will say that the Rams uni change has received more media time than most for a reason. Like the uni or not, it is sooo overthought with all the Fibonacci, Ocean wave, colors of the Sand, etc that went into the design that most people are talking about. The Rams almost came across as "bragging" about what went into the design. Problem is that they were not in touch with the fans of their own brand. They should have just kept it simple. A simple series of polls on social media would have told them what would have been more widely accepted by their base. Right now there is a divide where you would want unity.
The home run they were looking for turned into a pop fly out. Good news is that they still have 2 outs left (2021, 2022) to win this game.
IMO, we will be hearing various opinions on this for a long time until they change them. It is a very passionate subject among Rams FANatics like us. I have no issues with either side stating their opinions but if people are tired of hearing how great or bad the new uni is, they might want to avoid any threads that discuss them.
But here's the thing, I love the old uniforms and agree with posters like you that they needed to only tweak the throwback uniforms to a more modern look. I like the new uniforms except for some details (gradient numbers, etc) and I'm hoping for a closer to traditional look with the next 2 uniform reveals (come on Ferragamo jerseys!
).
The problem that is rearing it's head, IMO, is that I enjoy reading your posts, as well as others who don't care for the new uniforms (Crazy Legs, Gator, etc.). You guys can be funny and bring possibly a new viewpoint I haven't thought of, so I'm not going to ignore your uniform posts. On top of that, you guys understand that there are board members that like the new uniforms and you don't cross a line that demeans those posters (a little humor is always fun and you provide this). Unfortunately there can be a poster who presents their information in an attacking style of "...see all this data I found that says you are wrong!" It makes posters feel attacked regardless if that type of poster believes they're doing it or not. On top of that, the same information is repeated excessively over time. No new information is garnered from these posts...rinse, repeat...
I'm friends with most here and many of them don't care for the new look and I respect that. The fact that they never made me feel like my opinion makes me any less of a Ram fan is appreciated.
Again, just respect each other on this board. It's so simple.
