I have family members who are one of them---they study food, it's a discipline.
Food, how is is cooked, marinated, smoked, spiced, is all studied. The fats and sugars mixing under heat and so on, is not a matter of taste.
Yes, people can put great food in their mouth and say "yuck" or put crap food in their mouth and say "yum" but that does not mean there are not
norms and principles to taste, and so on. Just as Nobu.
Same goes for design. There is color, technqiue, anchor points, value, shading, display, you know, standards.
Sure, someone can hate a great uniform and someone else can love a carp uniform, but that does not mean there are not norms and principles to
design and so on, just ask Armani.
The issue is most people are ignorant to the design principles of Armani, they wear T-shirts and jeans. Others are ignorant of "foodie" principles, they eat boxed Mac and Cheese from Fraft and like it, and would not like a homemade Mac and Cheese as it is done in the south. Some will drink Swill Beer and like it and if you gave them a special designer Ale they'd not like it, they will take their---Bud or Pabst, etc.
So, YES, Paul Lukas is an expert. Is he all-knowing? No. can reasonable people disagree? Sure. Sure he be savaged JUST BECAUSE he put the Rms 28th? I would say NO.
especially when a dozen others or more who ranke uniforms put the Rams anywhere from 16th in the NFL to 32nd in the NFL.
Bottom line: I think it is true than some people do have better taste than others, in cars, uniforms, food, women (men), etc.
