Running the ball more effectively is required to run more

July 24, 2020 02:14AM
that fact is that is so simple that the mass football fans always seem to miss.

1) You get 3 shots to get 10 yards and run stuffed, run stuffed, 3rd and long sack means a 3 and out.
2) This goes on for multiple series and the other team starts getting a lead than a bigger lead.
3) Than the clock becomes an element and the team has to score quickly and passes.

After the game, we hear, well they game up on the run. The team needs to run more often.

What do the fans think should happen?

Petition the league to change the rules to get more attempts to get the 10 yards or asked for it to be less than 10 yards are the only choices I guess.

In today's NFL, you win by passing and controlling the game. Get the early lead so you can stay dynamic and can choose to run WHEN THE RUN IS EFFECTIVE. You get more downs and more plays when you get first downs. More plays is what leads to more run attempts. The concept is fairly reason. If you have less 3 play drives, you have less runs.
