I amended my response while you posted this-see above.
P.S. My black uniform hypo is not a "fake" hypo. It is simply a hypothetical. Not answering the hypo because it could never happen is simply a dodge. The fact that it can't be answered was destroyed by Max. He answered it. So the hypo remains: would you still be a Ram fan if the uniforms were all black and no horns on a black helmet?
It's a false premise for 2 reasons.
1. You cannot separate the symbols, history, tradition, memories, and feelings for the players. They are intertwined. There is no such thing as one of those without the others. More than that--no one would ever want to separate them.
2. Your question is a loaded question intended to produce your desired result, when, in fact, no one is ever going to do that--because of point #1.
When someone objects to a premise, that cuts to the root of the issue.
So you ask, what if they completely changed the imagery.
And so then I ask in response, do you imagine that it is actually possible anyone would ever do that. (Then a 2nd question--why not. Why do we know they would never do that. See point #1 above and the whole idea that those things cannot be separated.)
