I'd ask you one question about your 'need to draft a rb statement'--how much compensation do you think a Philip Lindsay or Carlos Hyde type would cost?
Also, dont forget about FA backs. Rams could bring several to camp and based on the position find a solid contributor. I'm curious why everyone seems down on Malcolm and Kelly. They have both been in the system 2+ years--seems that would give them an edge over any rookie/new back.
I suppose that picking up a FA at RB after the draft is a legit strategy, 666. Just not one that I favor.
Feels like more expensive table scraps to me. I prefer younger and fresher and inexpensive RB’s. Plus they tend to be able to play early on. This Gurley lesson has taught me to prefer to keep RB’s on a 5 year leash, kinda.
As to Malcom and Kelly? Well, Kelly hasn’t done squat since he’s been here, really. Brown has had his moments but his ‘19 season was a crashing disappointment and I fear that his best days are behind him. I’m certainly unwilling to risk having him as our starter if Hendo gets injured (yet again).
RG is a young man’s position so let’s get a young man at RB.
