I started with Deadpool's top 250, crossed guys off as they were picked, and took the highest rated guy at a position of need left on Deadpool's board. And came up with this.
There are some obvious trade-down opportunities (e.g., trade down from 52 to mid-60s & get Hennessy) but this exercise showed me how much talent gets pushed down simply because other teams have different boards. And reinforced the value in trading down and stockpiling more picks.
Oh yeah, at 234 I just took Blankenship rather than the top rated guy just because it made sense.
52. Trevon Diggs - CB - Alabama - 6'-1" 205 lbs. - Brother to Stephon, he is a zone/man cb prospect with excellent footwork and fluid movement skills. Add that to his length and he is a handful.
57. Van Jefferson - WR - Florida - 6'-1" 200 lbs. - A route running technician, good hands and is OK in the open field. Not explosive and not what I would call a HR threat.
84. Jonathan Greenard - Edge - Florida - 6'-4" 263 lbs. - I just love his athletic ability, balance against the run and pass and supposedly a hard worker off the field. Not the most flexible, but his length and strength make up for it. high floor, lower ceiling type.
104. Troy Dye - LB - Oregon - 6'-4" 231 lbs. - Another see ball, chase ball LBer that needs to add strength. But he makes plays all over the field.
126, Leki Fotu - IDL - Utah - 6'-4" 330 lbs. - A monster NT with a little pass rush juice to him. Good motor and is almost impossible to move. Not the athletic freak Lawrence was last year. (Note: passed on him at 84 & 104 ...)
199. Joshua Kelley - RB - UCLA - 5'-11" 212 lbs. - Strong, tough with good balance and hard to bring down, but lacks wiggle and HR speed. A one cut and go type of back.
234. Rodrigo Blankenship - K - Georgia - 6'-1" 197 lbs. - He kicks footballs and I love his nerd glasses. I dare you to find that kind of draft analysis anywhere but here. LOL
