You’re probably right about Hav, zn. Definitely right if Hav plays well upon his return. Like I said, I put him in ‘prove it’ territory.
Seems like I’m very slightly more optimistic about Boom at LOT come September than you are. Very possible that he’s not fully healed yet, but I’m cautiously optimistic.
FWIW, I do not see Big Whit extended. I think Father Time has finally caught up with him and we can have OG’s more cheaply by other means.
I’ve been reading that Edwards is more likely to be an OG and would be an OT only in the event of injury. Even Edwards has said as much. I think he might become a really good OG, btw, much like Saffold did.
Allen, Evans, and Corbett are in ‘show me’ territory. I don’t give a rip about where they were drafted. Each must prove it on the field now. Unfortunately, Allen can’t do that now, so I think that the Rams are forced to upgrade C somehow, some way next offseason. Could be a Sully type short term FA solution or a stud in the draft that falls to them. But the Allen at C status quo doesn’t seem to be a viable strategy, IMO.
I will say this. Our OL surely has Snead/McVay/Kromer’s undivided attention now. They will explore every possible solution to fix our OL before the ‘20 season. Gonna be very interesting to see how they correct our problems there. I suspect that everything is on the table.
Nice discussion about a very timely topic. Lots of room for different opinions.
