There is no evidence that Evans is a huge question mark given that they are on record as saying that their strategy was to draft Olinemen and let them develop for a year. The fact he hasn't played much means literally nothing.
The plan wasn't even for Edwards to be pressed into immediate duty. That only happened due to injury.
Edwards, Noteboom, Evans, and Hav will all likely have big roles next year. Who knows who will be starters but I see at most two new players who are not currently on the team having major roles. And I don't think there is any way they will have three new starters next year.
The Rams have had one of the worst, if not the worst, OLs in the league this year, according to PFF and my eye balls.
I watched Evans play in preseason, he was a catastrophe, not just bad, but scary bad. To assume that he is not a bust when at least half of 3rd round OLs are busts and he hasn’t shown anything good on the field, is extremely wishful thinking. That my friend, is a huge question mark.
Corbett is a guy who couldn’t play for one of the worst OLs in the NFL. A team that is starting GRob. Good luck with that.
Whitworth is likely gone next year.
Noteboom is coming off major knee surgery, torn ACL AND MCL. He was awful at Guard in his first year as a starter, expecting him to step in at LT is a huge stretch.
Hav has been bad this year, but it’s reasonable to think he can bounce back in 2020.
Edwards looks very promising.
Unless, Blythe is used at Center, I think he’s gone also. He's been bad at RG since the end of last year.
You just can write in names on the OL because you want them to be better than what they are. They actually have to give you good reason to believe they are good. And it’s not there for almost all of them.
So I repeat, at least 2 new starters, possibly 3.
If I’m wrong, then I feel sorry for McVay cause he’s getting BSed by Snead and Kromer. I think he’s sharp enough not to let that happen. He needs to run his offense, and he’s gotta be angry with what they fed him already.
EDIT: I forgot Allen. That’s probably because he’s forgettable. He’s not a quality starting Center in the NFL. He’s a runt who will get destroyed by big strong DTs.
