Yep it is all just opinions. But I was responding to that statement, quoted here. First off there are pundits who rank Goff higher than the less than 30% of players who vote on that NFL thing, so I still do not buy that there is any real "players v. pundits" thing. Which is what you say there. I say there is no "collectively" on the players (that cannot be known), and there is no "media and pundits" as this unitary entity to oppose to the (presumed but not actually collective) players.
So I stand by my disagreement with that statement.
What's naturally going to happen is that we will all prefer to see Goff higher ranked, and we will spin whatever narrative to back up that higher ranking as some kiind of interesting thing. As opposed to it just being one more ranking.
Which is fine. We just see all this differently. Me? I look for the range among different rankings. Most of them are within 8-12 which makes sense to me. No single one of them has more weight for me.
That's just how I personally do it.
