I think it is kind of interesting that players collectively think more highly of Goff than the media and pundits and personally I would put more stock into what the players think. But that is just my opinion.
But we don't know what percentage of the players voted. So this can't be "what players think." It's what "some players think." On top of it, the players who did vote were ranking players overall, not qbs per se. Which is fine, it's interesting. But I don't think of it as being anywhere near definitive in terms of telling us what "players" in general think. Besides, there wasn't this thing where every player in the league studied film on every other player in the league and then they all voted. So while it's interesting, I just can't take it as set in stone or The Truth Incarnate.
And, There are pundits and media folk who rank Goff in the 8-12 range. So they aren't uniform. So I don't see any real "players v. pundits" thing here.
All I can say is, an 8-12 ranking sounds about right.

Hmmm....I'm pretty sure I didn't say "all" players or that what they thought was "The Truth Incarnate." The main point of my post was that no matter who is voicing (or ranking), they are all just opinions and found it interesting that the players (meaning those that were involved in the rankings), on average, thought more highly of Goff.
Nowhere in there did I lump ALL players together, or ALL media together for that matter. That's just how you took it.
