Well, three of them, actually.

Snead benefits from the McVay hire in three powerful ways.

Firstly, McVay seems to better know what types of players he wants AND better communicates that to Snead.

Secondly, McVay is an O savant whereas Fisher generally floundered on O matters.

Thirdly, and this might be the most important difference, McVay and his staff excel at player development. This perhaps has covered for slight errors on picks by Snead. IOW, the McVay staff may have been able to erase player weaknesses in a few of Snead’s picks which Fisher’s staff simply couldn’t.

Bottom line? Helluva lot of synergy between Snead and McVay.
