Add Bellichick and Brady both to ANY team...do they win more or not? I say they win more, regardless.
You can have average drafts and a great record, and a great drafts and an average record. Both things can (and do) happen.
Asking about draft success is just one question. If answered in its own terms, it might not be the only thing to consider when looking at success. But as a question it should be answered in its own terms.
Do all teams need great draft success to have a top record? That's just a separate and different question.
