EVERYONE is saying Goff had a bad game.... "BUT" he is NOT the only reason the Rams O was bad.
Just wow.....
I'm just pointing out that I see an incredibly high level of defensiveness when discussing him.
And literally NO ONE is saying he's the only reason the Rams O was bad.
And "defensiveness" is a psychologizing subjective move whose very rhetorical purpose is to make a distinction between the people who are "reasonable" (or whatever word you would use) and those who are "emotional."
That's a classic way to make it about the other poster's emotions. Instead of just accepting that there are different views on why Goff stumbled, and to what extent, and how much it affected the loss, and how much of it was him, and what it means. NATURALLY there are going to be different views on all those things. We don't have THAT conversation though if we keep saying things like "while yours is a dismissable emotional view as compared to my reasonable truth." Real discussion don't go like that.
Whether or not someone is "defensive" is PURELY a subjective value judgement.
And in fact, let me say in advance, that if wanted to, I could find a way to call your (upcoming) response to THIS post "defensive."
But neither one of us SHOULD be doing that, right?
This is a real debate about real things. That will include many different views and some nuances and different interpretations.
We're all better off if we just flow with that.
Agreed? Fair enough?
