Yeah, I like Brown but he has 14 games to earn a new deal. Maybe he will. Noteboom seems like he has potential to step in at LT, LG or RG in 2019. Depends on Whitworth who I still personally think is more than 50/50 to retire after this year.
With Suh, I think both sides have intended this to be a one year relationship all along. Agree that Joyner could very well be gone but if free safety is their biggest concern entering 2019 that is ok..
I think Talib plays through 2019 and then retires. Peters, well, we will see.
Agree with all of this except I see the Whit part differently. You don't think it was significant that Whit just restructured his contract?
I'm not sure the Rams do that with him if he's planning on this year being his last.
We don't know how he re-structured it. Convert salary into bonus money? Give money back? So if we don't know what happened, it's hard to say what it might mean.
.
Whoa! Give money back? I never thought of that. You really think he would give money back? Has that ever happened before?
I'm assuming it's the standard convert salary to bonus money. Maybe it was something else... but this we know, unless he gave money back, whatever they did to lesson this years cap hit, that exact amount is added to next year's cap hit. This is necessarily so since he has one year left on the contract.
I don't know. It has happened. But the most likely thing is that they stretched out the deal by converting things as you say.
