Rams43
I haven’t watched the tape, Florida, and I don’t intend to.
I have no dog in this hunt, either, but Kiser sure had a lot of tackles for an “average” college LB prospect. Instincts? Film study? Football smarts?
Gotta be something or some combo for him to be the first to equal Kuechly’s 3 year tackle leading conference record, don’t you think?
If you have time before minicamp starts, you should watch 43. I'm humble enough to admit we are not professional scouts but if you watch at least 10 games of a player, you can get a clue of why a team might like a player they selected.
This is not about a dog in the fight. I haven't made a complete scouting report on Kiser yet (too small of a sample size) but he's 0-4 in my first viewing session.
College LB stats can be inflated for a variety of reasons so the conference Kuechly tackle comparison doesn't touch my fancy.
Bottom line the Rams and several teams passed on him until Round 5 Pick 10 (147). Since he's been drafted, several Rams fans have pointed out how it was crazy that he fell that far.
So far from the 4 games I've watched, I can see why he fell and there is
usually a difference from a 5th round MLB vs a first, 2nd and even a 3rd round MLB when you watch the film.
Lot's of intangibles and other things are involved but I'm doing the work to find out why so many Rams fans think he's a sleeper keeper etc..
I respect those that watch every snap and use their own eyes. I mentioned this 2 years ago when I did it with Goff & Wentz. Trust your own eyes even though they can fail you when it comes to projecting college players to the pro level.
