ILB - Barron, Littleton, Wilson, Hager
Barron is a proven starter and will really be helped by Suh. Littleton was really good last year and made some plays and I think they are ready to give him the job. Wilson has started before and he and Hager are good backups and good special team players. Now they may add an inside outside type in the draft but I don't think we have to if there are better players available at other positions.
It has been inked the RAMS messed up with Alec Ogletree and his contract last year, I wonder if that was more of an insurance move. Alec Ogletree was signed Oct 12....5 games into the season.
Looking at Cory Littleton's 2017 season he didn't do much on defense the first half of the season.
The first four games of the second half, games 9 - 12 he didn't register a tackle and had 1 pass defended.
Then came games 13 - 16 were he played well. There is nothing but looking at boxscore numbers for this (so keep that in mind). Looking at his contribution late in the year combined with what Coach Phillips sees in practice and meetings, I wonder if the organization thought that Cory to do what Alec does.
Although coming to the RAMS as an undrafted free agent, Littleton played well enough to be the Rams’ 2016 Rookie of the Year. So that makes me believe he has demonstrated talent and ability.
