This is how the roster currently sits - 66 players under contract, and as we all know the only top 51 count against the cap.Any player I put a star next to is currently below the 51 highest paid players and does not count against the cap.
The number in the parenthesis is the number of players at that position were on the 53 man roster.
The roster breaks down like this:
(2) 3 QB - Goff, Mannion, Allen
(3) 4 RB - Gurley, Brown,Davis, Tillery*
(0) 1 FB -Rogers*
(6) 8 WR - Cooks, Woods, Kupp, Austin, Cooper, Reynolds, Thomas, Brown*
(3) 5 TE - Higbee, Everett, Hemmingway, Kreiger-Coble*, Mundt*
(3) 4 OT - Whitworth, Havenstein, Neary, Dunn*
(5) 3 OG - Saffold, Brown, Eldrenkamp*
(2) 2 OC - Sullivan, Blythe
7 DL - Donald, Suh, Brockers, Westbrooks, Easley, Smart, Bryant*
4 ILB - Barron, Littleton, Wilson, Hager
6 OLB - Ebukam, Longacre, Fox, Thompson, Price*, Sickels*
10 CB - Talib, Peters, Webster, Robey-Coleman, Sheilds, Hill, Hatfield, Nixon*, Sayles*, Peterson*
5 S - Joyner, J. Johnson, Countess, Christian, I. Johnson
4 ST - Zeurlien, Hecker, McQuaide, Ficken*
So what I am asking is in your opinions, what positions look weakest, which positions look strongest, if any positions look like they could use a starter and then list your top 7 needs in order and you can double up.
Example. OLB, ILB, OG, ILB, S, OT, S
WR, QB, CB, ST, DL look the strongest
OG, OT, S, TE need depth
ILB, OLB could use 1 starter each
OC, RB - I'm not sure they need help or not. I'm on the fence.
I would rank the needs as:
1. OLB
2. ILB
3. OG
4. OT
5. OLB
6. TE
7. S
Any help would be appreciated.
