You haven't hated a move they have made. Ever, in the history of the world. And its whats great about you. Are you still happy about it Cooks melts down this year to reporters after he has a 3 catch game? It has happened in the past. There's a reason he is on his 3rd team in 5 years.
How does Cooks make our running game better then with Watkins blocking on the edge?
Or how does Cooks make our redzone offense better?
He can run, I'll give you that. (his feet and his mouth) but does he improve this team. Not enough for what you gave up.
Actually, there have been quite a few Ram moves that I haven’t liked, Dead.
I was preaching that Fisher should be replaced after a fair 3 year test drive, but they waited 2 more agonizing years to fire him.
I called Tavon a bust after his 3 years, too. His extension blew my mind.
Barron’s contract was a head scratcher for me. Still is, kinda.
The Ogletree extension I STILL can’t understand.
TruJo’s second tag blew my mind.
All of Fisher’s OC hires made me crazy.
Having said all that, I have to say that this S&M team seem to pretty much get it. I see planning, logic, and strategy in their moves (excepting the Ogletree extension and the 2nd tagging of TruJo).
As to Cooks? I know that I’m not gonna be able to change your mind today. I would just respectfully suggest that you give S&M the benefit of knowing what they’re looking for in a #1 WR and have concluded that they think that Cooks was a better value with their #23 than any player that was likely to be there in the draft.
McVay has been hinting that he wanted, even needed a WR that would require double coverage to make his overall O work most efficiently. Many posters have been saying this for months and that that was Watkins true value to this O. Well, I suspect that Cooks will far exceed anything that Watkins did for us last year.
Yep, I really like this trade. We can revisit this come November, if you like. By then I think we will have a decent handle on this trade.
