I feel like football teams and locker rooms are just like society. You get a hodgepodge of personalities. Generally a company or organization (in this case the Rams) can set the tone and set expectations with the right people leading.
I can't remember not liking a player of the Rams based on being a knucklehead ....its always about their contributions to the team on the field. If those two things cross then yes its a problem.
Eric Dickerson became such a distraction to the Rams that they were forced to trade him after only 4 years in the uniform. I recall being so angry with the way he handled his salary battles with the Rams that I was fine with them trading him away.
I do feel like the Rams have taken some risks with the additions of AT, MP, NS and exploring a potential trade for OBJ ..... its the unknown for us and a team that is usually far more buttoned up. As long as these guys focus on football I’m not focusing so much on their personalities. I’ll let the Rams worry about that.
This isn't guess who’s coming to dinner for me
Being a Rams fan is never in doubt.
And we've never been tested by something as bad as having Jeff George at qb.
I am of 2 minds. There have been several knuckleheads I just didn't care for.
I remember back in 2005/2006 when Rams drafts gave them Barron, Incognito, Terrel, Wroten, and Byrd, as the Rams tried their hardest to lead the league in knuckleheads. I didn't care for those guys. I was glad when they left. Same with guys like Finnegan. I wouldn't like it if my team had a guy like Romanowski or Haynesworth.
Maybe Suh and Talib have calmed down and maybe Peters joins them. There's a chance of that. But my second mind says, that's an interesting collection of talent, and of those 3, only Suh has been a Romanowski, and he seems to be mellowing.
So who knows.
