It's not a freak event for players to mature and adapt to the real world of the NFL... sure, many stay inner-focused but I think many also grow. Money always an issue, of course, but sometimes you have to be wise enough to see a bit ahead, short term rewards vs long term investment. I think Sammy has truly found something he likes with the Ram's, (part of that culture thing), and he believes in what's being forged under McVay.

He may grow. I really don't rule it out. But the evidence of it in 2017 came in fits and starts. SW just has a way of saying absolutely the right thing and then shortly after you sense he forgot he said it. This is not a blatant case of direct lies or manipulation or callous hypocrisy. I think that sometimes his mouth, and his intentions, run ahead of his actual real level of committment to what he is saying.
