The Rams struck gold when Whitworth became a free agent. Without doing the research my perception is that a starting-quality LOT hits free agency no more than once a decade. IMO it would be foolish of the Rams to count getting another starting LOT as a FA, not only because a FA LOT is so rare but also because they would then have to outbid 30 other teams for his services. The Rams were amazingly fortunate (lucky?) with Whitworth: I'd plan on that never happening again.
