I do agree that Fisher gets some credit for the roster McVay inherited. It's debatable how much credit goes to Snead, but that's for another time. I mean, Fisher was here for 5 years and had numerous high draft picks. Heck, give me or any poster on this board numerous high draft picks in 5 years and we'd be bound to nail some blue chippers and quality football players. Basically, that's where it ends with Fisher. He had no clue how to coach or hire a coaching staff that was capable of putting the accumulated talent in position to attain a winning season. As a matter of fact, he may have been a deterrent to many of the coaches on his staff. Bones ST's have elevated to the top of the NFL with the departure of Fisher.

McVay has come in and done a 180 degree turnaround in every phase. He brought in a few offensive pieces, was smart enough to retain bones and stuck with what looked like a total "bust" in Goff. Many of the retained players look like All Pro's now.

Put McVay and staff with the current Cleveland Browns and we'd see a .500 season in 2018

Put Fisher with the current Pittsburgh Steelers(tremendous talent at skilled positions) and we'd see 7-9 BS

I rest my case
