I wouldn’t trust anything this guy said. I want to hear someone else corroborate the story.
You would have the front office, the team medical staff, and Gurley himself to easily refute it if it were a lie.
And why wouldn't they refute it if it were a lie.
Either way SOMETHING was wrong with Gurley last year...he was not the same player. From game 1 he visibly lacked the explosion and strength we saw in both 2015 and 2017. The only other explanation for that was not working full steam...and he did say and I quote he started working out in the off-season "1 or 2 months" late after taking a break.
So either he wasn't in the optimal shape he needed to be in or there was a lingering health issue.
Remember also they basically did not give him a single touch in the 2016 pre-season. Which is also strange.
