Well, health is a major reason for that... Goff played as much if not more then most starting QB's did this preseason.
I have no problems heading into the regular season pretty much unscathed with injuries to starters.
I think Goff showed enough in preseason and in practice for McVay to be fine with resting him and the other starters....if he didn't, I'm sure McVay would have him out there.
