I think Watkins needs more snaps
In the kid's case, I understand that too many scrubs end up causing stuff like Sam Bradford's dreadful second ACL in a meaningless preseason game, or even Hemmingway's broken leg. Diving at legs is all to often the exact cause of entire season losses of players that would have otherwise been available. Getting rid of the youngsters who are overplaying to make a roster before risking your top guys pencils out.
sure your first couple of game almost always end up being terrible showings.
and not just the lesser teams like the Rams; even the better clubs seem to struggle racking points, and being sharp. Pretty much a result of coaches needing to avoid silly injuries.

even I have some reluctance to use a kid they feel is making the roster in this game.
Losing a Forrest, Justin Davis, or even the CB Jordan to injury makes for crazy.
Forrest was lost already for a year.
but for all the arguing that Goff needs more snap and more snap specifically with Watkins? I'm losing that debate.......clearly.
