That would be a short conversation that would go something like this.
Agent: Brings in his client's stats in comparison to the top receivers and targeted salaries he wants to get to. He shows that to Demoff and says my client deserves to be among the highest paid wr's based on x,y and Z.
Demoff: Your client has not played a full season since his rookie year Mr Agent. We have no assurances that he can remain healthy and we are reluctant to make a long-term commitment w/o further evidence of your clients health. Let's table the discussions for now, IF your client demonstrates that he can be available and be an asset to the team, I'm sure we can come to an agreement that benefits your client. We would love for Sammy Watkins to be a Rams for a long time.
