Well I get your point and I get his. On the one hand I think his general point is correct. That is, I see what he meant. I didn't take him to be strictly literal that way...I assumed he meant, in their prime. On the other hand, all sorts of teams, not just the Patz, trade stars when they are past their prime. In fact years ago the Rams used to do that regularly with qbs---that is trade for them past their prime.
